- Longer school days; shorter school breaks for next year
- Students in all states except Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu will commence schooling on 2 January
The Ministry of Education has just released the School Calendar for 2013. There will be 205 school days next year, two days more than this year.Students will also get a shorter break with 84 holidays next year, compared with 87 this year.
However, the good news is that there are many state public holidays which would coincide with school breaks. Those celebrating Good Friday on March 29 would be able to enjoy a longer break that month.The Harvest Festival and Gawai in May and June coincide with the mid-year break as does Hari Raya Aidilfirtri which is expected to fall within the two-week break in August.School kids studying in Kedah, Kelantan and Terrengganu will begin their school year a day earlier (1 January).For more information, visit this LINK
