9A+ students to automatically receive bursaries

- Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said all SPM 2011 students who received 9A+ will automatically be offered bursaries for local pre-university studies.
- Subsequently, the PILN will be open to those who manage to achieve CGPAs of 3.50 and above.
- As for this year's pre-u leavers, 10,300 of them will be receiving scholarships to pursue their tertiary education at local institutions.

- He also said that RM2.12bil will be spent in funding both local and overseas educations for SPM students who just received their results.
- The overseas scholarship for Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy will only be offered to students who received offers from the world's top 10 universities this year.
