During your stay

While there are restrictions on the amount and type of work that can be undertaken for students with specific visas, it is possible to supplement studies and the cost of living with some part time work.

The 2015-2016 Malaysia/Australia Work and Holiday Visa programme allows eligible Malaysian citizens to work and holiday in Australia.  There are only 100 available visas for the 2015-2016 programme and appointments for making an application will open at 9am Wednesday 5 August 2015.  More information on how to apply can be found here.

After graduation

Degrees and other qualifications earned in Australian educational settings make international students attractive to and sought after by many employers. Some employers choose to recruit directly from Australian universities and colleges.

A number of international students are able to apply for permanent residence in Australia and make this the country in which they permanently live and work, if they so wish.

Applying for a visa

To study in Australia you must have a valid Australian visa. Student visas are temporary visas that allow people to come to Australia for a specified period to study at an Australian educational institution. Apply online!
