Malaysia is looking forward to collaborate in the education sector with the Cambodian government. Government representatives of both countries have signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in higher education.

Under the MoU, the Malaysian government will help Cambodia develop its human capital by providing more place for Cambodian students to further their tertiary education in Malaysia.
In his speech, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said that the Malaysia-Cambodia bilateral cooperation is a very important milestone in the education sector for both countries. "I am happy to observe that there are quite a number of Cambodian students studying in Malaysia," Muhyiddin said.
Present was the Cambodian Education, Youth and Sports Minister Dr Hang Chuon Naron as well as other representatives from the Cambodian government.
