You Can Apply to This Public University Without UPU for Its September 2019 Intake

As most of you may know, UPU results for the degree stage will be released on 31st July 2019. While many will get the institution and/or the course of their dreams, rejection is also a stranger to no one. Not to dwell on the negativity, but it’s good to be prepared for it! There’s another way you can get into a public university AND study the course you’ve always wanted to. With that, we bring some good news.

Once again, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) returns with their UKM International Bachelor Degree Programme! Applications are now open for direct intake in September 2019.

UKM’s International Bachelor Degree Programme was launched in 2017 and opened for both local AND international students, thus garnering much attention. After two years, it’s back and bigger than ever! But before we get into it, what is the difference between the UKM International Bachelor Degree Programme and UPU? Here are a few benefits of the UKM International Bachelor Degree Programme, and we’ll break them down for you:

• Students have the chance to join the Summer Programme or Student Exchange Programme (Mobility Programme) for a month at several overseas universities that have established educational ties with UKM located in Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Mexico, Germany and the United States.
• Lower entry requirements compared that placed by UKM for applications through the UPU.
• Courses are accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), similar to those offered during UPU.
• All courses offered in line with current and future industry demands.
• Entry is in September 2019, which will be the same as applicants who got in via UPU.
• Students can apply for PPBU, PTPTN or other external study loans.
