All of Malaysia's Mara Junior Science Colleges (MRSMs) will implement a dual-certificate system comprising the existing Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) beginning 2016.
The addition of IGCSE will enable students to continue their overseas studies earlier. Moreover students can study in various fields.
IGCSE is a world-recognised qualification for students. It is an exam that tests knowledge in individual subjects in the same way as SPM.
At the moment, only 13 MRSMs have implemented IGCSE programme. MRSM Tun Razak in Pekan Pahang is the first to implement this.
