Step-by-Step Application Process for UKM International Degree Programme (IDP)

You may have come across our recent article announcing that UKM International Degree Programme (IDP) has returned and that applications are now open! This means that if UPU brought you disappointment, there’s yet another way you can get into a public university AND study the course you’ve always wanted to. With that, we’re here to talk about the minimum entry requirements AND share the application process so you won’t have to worry about figuring it all out yourself!

How to Apply

Step 1: Complete the online eSPEED application form at https://smp.ukm.my/espeed/

Step 2: You may check the full list of programmes available by clicking here.

Step 3: Check the documents you are required to upload and attach to your application on eSPEED. All copies of documents must be certified true and uploaded in PDF form not exceeding 2MB. Non-academic certificates are not required to be uploaded unless stated in the application form. Kindly upload the following documents:

• Photo attached must be in jpeg format not exceeding 100KB. [Click Here for Guidelines  on photo upload.]
• Proof of payment processing fee of RM50 (Local); RM100 (International) [non-refundable] deposited to Pusat Kembangan Pendidikan, CIMB Account Number: 8002233829. Please state your full name and IC/Passport No. behind the bank slip. If you are making the payment from outside Malaysia, you may refer to this [Click here for more info on telegraphic transfer.]
• A copy of all certified true copies of Degree/Diploma/Certificate in the Academic Information menu.
• The Academic Support form is only required for research-based programmes. You may download the form by clicking here [Referee Form (Thesis)] and upload it to the supporting documents menu in the application form. You may refer to this link [Research Proposal] for guidance.

 Employment confirmation letter issued by the employer/head of department.

Step 4: Wait for your results! Application results can be checked in the Check Status of Application menu within four (4) to eight (8) weeks after the application closing date.
