Overview
One of the ways to alleviate or lessen poverty is through education. By helping the poor and under-privileged to attain higher levels of education, Kuok Foundation Berhad have equipped them with the knowledge and skill set that will allow them to get better-paying jobs. With this, they also hope that it will break the cycle of multi-generational poverty.
They offer financial assistance in various forms such as scholarships, grants and loans in the following categories to the poor, under-privileged and deserving students who are striving hard to break the cycle of poverty through education.
Criteria
British Public Universities
a. Only Malaysian citizens are eligible to apply.
b. Must have a consistent and outstanding academic achievement record with a minimum of 3As for STPM / GCE A-Level or CGPA 3.50 / 4.00 for Pre-university / Diploma / Foundation Program or equivalent.
c. Must possess strong leadership skills and active participation in extra-curricular, social or voluntary activities.
d. Kuok Foundation Undergraduate Awards are for needy students only.
e. Only for freshmen, not exceeding 21 years of age as at the enrolment date for the Bachelor’s Degree Program.
f. Must obtain a conditional or unconditional offer to admission into the University. (For applicants awaiting acceptance into the university, the university acceptance letter must be submitted as soon as it is available.
Applicants must be freshmen applying for a full-time bachelor’s degree programme full-time and on-campus at any one of the following British universities:
- University of Cambridge
- University of Oxford
- Imperial College London
- University College London
- London School of Economics and Political Science
- The University of Edinburgh
- King's College London
Singaporean Public Universities
a. Only Malaysian citizens are eligible to apply.
b. Applicants should possess good academic qualifications and should be active in school.
c. Kuok Foundation Undergraduate Awards are for needy students only.
d. Only undergraduates / prospective undergraduates reading for full-time bachelor’s degree courses are eligible to apply. Students studying Diploma, Foundation, off-campus courses, etc. are not eligible to apply.
e. Successful candidates must NOT be bonded to or holding any other scholarships or receiving financial assistance from any organisations.
Applicants who are applying for or currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree course
full-time and on-campus at any one of the Singaporean public universities are
eligible to apply. Students doing off-campus / twinning / franchised courses/
distance learning courses from these universities are not eligible.

British Public Universities
A Full-Ride Scholarship that covers :
● University tuition fee
● A monthly stipend
● One return airfare
● A one-off settling-in allowance
Singaporean Public Universities
- Kuok Foundation Scholarships - RM110,000/- p.a.
- Kuok Foundation Half-Loan Half-Grant Awards - up to RM110,000/- p.a.
