Study loan conversion scheme expanded

- Graduates who obtained first class honours before January 1, 2010 may have their PTPTN loans converted into scholarships.
- Before this, loan conversion are only available to students who graduated after 2010.
- Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohameed Khaled Nordin said, "The Government believes students who studied hard should be rewarded."
- This move will benefit 4,430 eligible honours students or those with equivalent qualifications as most of these students have not repaid their loans.
- PTPTN will ensure that whatever these students have paid would be refunded.
