A Pre Degree Course or PUC is the first choice of all those candidates who are looking out to enter into a degree course after school education. The PUC degrees are specially very useful for all those candidates who are opting for a 10 year school and move on to the degree courses after their 2 years of PUC completed from any junior college.<h3 class="common-heading">Opportunities for Career Growth after PUC</h3>Those who successfully apply for the PUC after their 10 years of schooling are ready to apply for several streams of degree courses through the government organized common entrance test. For instance, FTMS College offers Foundation Course or Pre University Course of one year duration in Business Information Technology. The foundation or Pre University Courses are offered by both government funded institutions as well as private colleges. The students who are planning to give at least one year to their Pre Degree Courses should take up the Foundation Courses. On the other hand, a bridging course will be just a semester for you to complete. Some of the international universities offer direct entry based Foundation Programs that can give a direct entry to the students under the second year of the undergraduate or post graduate programs that they wish to enroll themselves into. </div>

Foundation in Science is designed to provide an entry into degree programmes in the engineering and non-engineering fields. Both the engineering and non-engineering students will study Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English Language at different levels. In addition to this, students have elective subjects based on their Major. Engineering students will choose Dynamics, Statics and Physics laboratory work while the non-engineering students will choose Biology, Biology Laboratory work and Biochemistry. The total credit hours vary based on the fields chosen by the student: Engineering (51 credit hours) and Non-engineering (55 credit hours). Students undergoing this programme have a wide selection of degree programmes to enrol into. Bachelor of Quantity Surveying (Hons) prepares students with all-rounded knowledge in ICT, measurement and managerial skills as well as construction technology and construction contracts. The programme has infrastructure works as a niche area which emphasises sustainability and green construction. This is to ensure that global current and future trends in the quantity surveying profession are taken into account. The aim of this programme is to produce graduates who are industry-ready and possess good understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of quantity surveying for a career in development, construction, consulting and public agencies. At the end of the study, students will achieve the requisite skills in the measurement of building and infrastructure works and able to collaborate with all industry players on the latest ICT platform. They will also have the capability to prepare feasibility studies, cost plans and bills of quantities and assist in managing the tender processes effectively. Besides that, they would be able to evaluate risks and perform contract management such as preparation of interim valuations, variations &amp; final accounts and be exposed to alternative disputes resolution, in particular, arbitration and adjudication as covered by Acts of Parliament.
